By now I can finally feel it; it's summer!
Some obvious evidence:
*you can not stop yourself from drinking water every 5 minutes,
*the air conditioner is turned on most of the time,
*and finally, it's boiling hot outside and everyone wishes they had a pool in their backyard and could spend their entire day there.
These days I've been really missing those cold winter days when you had to wear one of those huge puffy coats to prevent yourself from freezing and becoming an ice cube. Don't get me wrong, I do like summer. Of course, who doesn't? But sometimes I can't bear with the high temperatures.
Anyways, today when I was looking through some editorials on the web I found the one above and thought that it portrayed exactly what you feel when it's summer.

I am currently sitting by the fire, so cold I can't feel my own legs...dead of winter in South AFrica ( 1400km north of paradise, my home town of Cape Town) ...but that snake necklace and I are in love! xxx Awesome post!

ReplyDeleteThe wonderful, the sweet, the nerve-wracking, the horrid, the ever-so-adorable summer heat... I had loads of it in the U.S., both in Florida and NY. Here in Paris - zilch!
