Braids were everywhere on the catwalks this season. You can wear them undone to the side as seen at Alexander Wang or in many other ways. Here's some inspiration:
French braiding can be chalenging and especially if you're braiding your own hair. That's one of the reasons why most people don't usually wear braids that often. Since some of you have asked for a video tutorial or a how to guide here are some that I have found on the web. It may be hard to understand it on the first time so try to watch the videos several times. Remember, practice makes perfect!

I LOVE braids! I don't wear them often because I think they are kind of unflattering on my face, but I know how to do all the complicated ones (french, dutch, crown, herringbone, etc! I went through a braid obsessed phase :P)

ooooh i absolutely love braids! although my hair isnt long enough to have a full french braid, but i do like braiding my fringe, because sometimes it gets really annoying! great post, a perfect hairstyle for spring no?

I really like braids - or 'plaits' as I call them! I have worn a lot of side plaits recently. I really like the kind of artistic feel that they have, especially once they start to look a bit scruffy.

ReplyDeleteGoop did a hair special a while ago where a top hairdresser showed how to do a messy, awesome fishtail braid. It was very clear because he used pictures and words so it can be printed off and stuck to a mirror.

Hope that is helpful. I love braids, mostly because I like my hair flowing and long but I'm too lazy to blowdry it or any styling that can't be done after a mad dash to the bus stop.
